Lexus to make India debut.


Lexus, the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automotive giant Toyota has come to India with 4 new showrooms. The company is not new to us, it has been already known for giving us world class technology, performance and comfort. They are starting with bringing three models in India. Here's the list.


1. Lexus LX450d

  • Its a great car which can accommodate almost 8 people comfortably.
  • The beast inside the hood is a 5.7 litre V8 engine generating 383 hp coupled with 6 speed automatic transmission.
  • With all wheel drive layout and off-road ability it allows its user to take this beast anywhere without worrying about the terrain
  • India will get V8 diesel.

2. Lexus RX450h SUV

  • May be this would be the most popular model among the three.
  • Rx is expensive at Rs, 1.07 cr but there is no denying  that it looks fabulous with its styling sharp look.
  • Its a hybrid vehicle with V6 petrol and twin electric  motors.
  • Its loaded with lots of features.



3. Lexus ES300h


  • This is a hybrid car.
  • Priced at Rs.55 lakh this is the most affordable Lexux in India.
  • Its a pure luxury sedan for chauffeur driven owners.
  • Interior offers a huge space and noise inside is almost silent which is perfect.

Most Polluting Cars Revealed Lets start with knowing the emission norms in India. Currently India is following the Bharat Stage (BS) IV norms. Bharat Stage Norms exactly the same as Euro norms. The differences lie essentially in environmental and geographical needs, even though the emission standards are exactly the same. For instance, Euro-III is tested at sub-zero temperatures in European countries. In India, where the average annual temperature ranges between 24 and 28 °C, the test is done away with. Another major distinction is in the maximum speed at which the vehicle is tested. A speed of 90 km/h is stipulated for BS-III, whereas it is 120 km/h for Euro-III, keeping emission limits the same in both cases. In addition to limits, test procedure has certain finer points too.
