Last day to Buy BS III vehicles at huge discount After the supreme court banned the BS III vehicles from 1st april, automobile companies are in huge rush to clear there stock to minimize the losses. They are coming with huge discount offers to attract customers. But the discounted rates are only for 30-31st March.  Two-wheeler majors Hero MotoCorp, Honda Motors , Bajaj Auto and Suzuki Motorcycle have started offering discounts of up to Rs. 22,000 on BS-III models to get rid of the stocks Out of 8lakh vehicle ar ound 6.7 lakh vehicles are affected by the ban. Dealers are in rush to sell there vehicles as much as possible to empty there stock. Market Leader Hero MotoCorp has offered discount price of  Rs 12,500 on Duet, Maestro Edge, Super Splendor and Glamour. Nissan X-Trail After the success of Nissan Terrano in  domestic market, Nissan is planning to launch its next Nissan X-Trail  SUV in India. Nissan is planning to launch the SUV in Oct-17. The SUV is equipped with the 2.0-litre MR20DD hybrid engine that enables a driving performance that is environment friendly. The company will reportedly roll out a petrol hybrid version of the SUV in India. Under the hood is a 2.0 litre petrol engine along with an electric motor generating a combined output of 179 Bhp. Most Polluting Cars Revealed Lets start with knowing the emission norms in India. Currently India is following the Bharat Stage (BS) IV norms. Bharat Stage Norms exactly the same as Euro norms. The differences lie essentially in environmental and geographical needs, even though the emission standards are exactly the same. For instance, Euro-III is tested at sub-zero temperatures in European countries. In India, where the average annual temperature ranges between 24 and 28 °C, the test is done away with. Another major distinction is in the maximum speed at which the vehicle is tested. A speed of 90 km/h is stipulated for BS-III, whereas it is 120 km/h for Euro-III, keeping emission limits the same in both cases. In addition to limits, test procedure has certain finer points too. For instance, the mass emission test measurements done in g/km on a chassis dynamometer requires a loading of 100 kg weight in addition to unloaded car weight in Europe. In India, BS-III norms req

Benefit will be 4 to 12  %  points lowering in the tax. That’s because indirect taxes such as excise duty, value added tax, state level taxes such as Octroi, local body tax and casess  get subsumed into the goods and services tax (GST), and cess on luxury cars get capped. Yet, a cheaper car is not a given, since manufacturers may raise prices and states could impose a new cess, tax experts at consulting firms said. Luxury cars attract basic excise duty of 27%. Not only the locally assembled models of luxury car makers but premium models in mass carmakers’ line-up will also benefit from the new tax structure.
